Valentine's Day!!!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. We had a very fun day at school. We made Valentine cookies in the morning, and watched a Valentine movie.
This afternoon we were very busy, and it flew by. We started off by handing out all of our Valentine's Day cards. It was so nice that everyone brought cards. We then opened our cards and had a treat. After we were all done with our cards we made a Valentine book. We had even more treats!
After recess the whole school played a game. We each had half of a unique heart. We had to go around the school and find the person with the other half of our heart. We had so much fun!!! We then watched a movie in the gym. Thank you so much to the Grade 7 and 8 classes for organizing this fun event. We had a blast!!!!!!!

We had a lot of kids away today. I hope that you are all feeling bette really soon. We miss you!!!
We had another very busy day. We continued to work on subtraction today. We learned about using a number line to help us with our subtraction.
Our NO MORE BULLIES posters look awsome! We went around the school to hang them up.
We also had fun with the Grade Two class. We played math games with them. Have a great weekend Grade One!!!!!!

Today we watched the movie The Bully Dance. We talked about what a bully was, and what a bully does.What do you remember from the video? Do you remember what the bully did to the boy? How did the boy handle his problem? When did the bully finally stop bullying?
We made posters that we will be putting up around the school.

Yesterday was the 100th day of school. We have been counting down the days since the first day of school.
We had a great day. We each brought 100 small treats to class. We mixed the treats together to make a yummy snack! We wrote about the number 100. We read about the number 100. We also counted to 100.
We did lots of activities. We made our 100th day masks. We also made bracelets out of 100 cherrieos.
Do you remember counting 100 footprints out of our classroom? How far did they go?
