I came across a very interactive and exciting sight for Art. National Gallery of Art allows students to become artists. Students can visit the exibhits of the Gallery, by seeing digital photos and reading information about the pieces of art and their creators. But the exciting part of this sight comes in the form of very interactive technology. By downloading a Shockwave Player studetns (form about grade 1 to 12) can explore creating, and manipulating art. These activities are very hands on, and very constructavist. The students are able to explore and experiment with a varieity of art forms, and a variety of art techniques. In the process of creating and manipulating art the students are learning. They are learning about a number of artisits (that they may have never been exposed to), and they are also learning about the creating of art and different art forms. This would be a wonderful website to use in an art class, or as an art lesson.
